great product inded, nice and sharp renders i wondering if he use some sharp filters…but very good work. I was using those and ended up doing two copies on max, one for lighting and the other only for reflections, that way i can avoid blowing out by the sun refletion and gain more control, what do you think? Peter
oligophant - I did’nt use any sharp filters for the images. The only post work was adding slight lens effects in Photoshop, I have updated the images to softer shadows from the IES lights. They were adding some serious sharpness to the images.
Best way to avoid the blowing out from the sun is to adjust the Reinhard burn amount as shown in Peter’s method, 0.25. These images were created using exactly that method. The daylight images had a Vray sun to help sharpen the light and shadows. I think I need to revise what I am doing on the sun shots though. I’m not 100% on it yet. I find adding elements in the environment slots in Vray leads to even less control and more to think about.
can you teach me on how you set your lighting, material and render setting so that can produce that kind of rendering? i really down to see me struggling to find the best way to produce those real rendering. can you help me?
Nice work Dan.
I used 2 of your HDRi images on my competition entry (nudge nudge wink wink)
